The Albanian navy according to a CIA report dated 16 March 1948

An item reported that the personnel strength of the Albanian numbered 5.000 men, mainly stationed at Durazzo, Valona and Sarande. Without special passes it was permitted to enter the  harbours. The fleet consisted of 10-12 submarines, 6-5 torpedo boats and 8-10 with cannon and machineguns armed transports.
