Russian 3 mast schooner Wera in problems according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsch nieuwsblad dated 21 January 1909

An dated Middlesborough, England 18th reported that the Russian 3 mast schooner Wera towed and underway from Middlesborough towards Sunderland by the tug Nunthorpe broke loose on Saturday night about 10 miles north east of Senham Harbour in a heavy storm and rough sea with damaged masts. Five efforts of the tug to connect a towing-line rope again failed.
