German battleship SMS Kaiser fitted out with 3 shafts according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1909-1910 no. 8

An item referred to the magazine Schiffbau reported that after was decided that the Ersatz Hildebrand was to be built at the Imperial Navy yard at Kiel, Germany it took some time to decide if was to be fitted out with 3 or 4 shafts depending on the turbines system. While in the meantime was chosen for 3 shafts could the construction be started.(1)

Of the Kaiser-class, consisting of the Kaiser, Friedrich der Grossem Kaiserin, Prinzregent Luitpold and König Albert, preceded by Helgoland-class, succeeded by König-class, laid down by Kaiserliche Werft, Kiel, Germany as Ersatz Hildebrand in December 1909, launched on 22 March 1911, commissioned in 1 August 1912, scuttled at Scapa Flow, Scotland on 21 June 1919, salvaged in 1929 and broken up in 1930.
