An item reported the sighting in
December 1954 of several warships in the Alabanian harbours Durres and Vlone.
Sighted were 12 M.T.B.’s, -600 tons tug with an armament of 2 guns and 4
machineguns, the 1.300 tons unarmed transport Koplik and 2 submarines leaving
for the shelters in the island of Saseno where already 2 submarines were seen,
1. The commanding officers of the Albanian submarines were Russians, the junior
officers included 40 Albanians.
