An item reported that Polish shipyards already built around 20 Soldek-class colliers of which Poland kept 5, the others were delivered to the Soviet Union.(1)

1. The Soldek with a length of 284 feet and a gross register tonnage of 2.005 tons was completed by the Zjednoczenie Stoczni Polskich, Gdansk in October 1949. She was of the B30 of which 5 were built usually serving on the coal shipping line between Poland and Denmark.
