An item reported that at the Braila shipyard 2 seagoing motor minelayers were completed and 2 more of the DB-12 class with a length of 40 metres were under construction. Furthermore were around 80 pontoon bridge sections under construction. Two Romanian M-1 type river monitors which seemed to be former Austro-Hungarian monitors dating from the First World War were under repair. Length of around 25-30 metres and an armament consisted of 2 8,8 or 10,5cm guns at the bow and 2-3,7cm/4cm guns aft.
This shipyard possessed a floating dry dock presumably electrically operated with a lifting capacity of 20-25 metres long boats. In the harbour of Braila were Soviet pontoon motor boats stationed guarded by Soviet military and used for transporting 1-2 tanks for which purpose 3 boats were connect.
