Shipbuilding activities at the Romanian Turnu Severin shipyards according to a CIA report dated 5 August 1952

An item reported that mid June 1952 at a shipyard alongside the Danube upstream from Turnu Severin a large Dnieper barge with as dimensions around 70 x 12 metres and an estimated capacity of 1.000 tons and 4 fishing vessels with metal made hulls were under construction. Other shipyards at Turnu Severin were building a similar barge and further was the SOVROM transport Alba Iulia under repair.
