The facilities of the Yugoslavian harbour Makarska according to a CIA report dated 17 February 1951

An item reported that the west side of the Yugoslavian harbour Makarska which was destroyed during the Second World War was now under repair. A small pier with a length of 50-60 metres was available. The two tunnels located at the entrance to the harbour with a length of around 20 metres were probably used as shelter for torpedo boats. The building was in the past started by the German forces and completed by Yugoslavia. The defence of the harbour existed of a People’s Military station and a small KNOJ unit (People’s Defence Corps).
