USA founding naval station in the Guantanomo Bay , Cuba according to the magazine Mitteilungen aus dem Gebiete des Seewesens dated 1904 no. 3

An item reported that the U.S. Government on 10 December [1903] decided to take over the Guantanomo Bay located in the southern part of the province Santiago de Cuba for founding a naval station. There was yet not decided if a second naval station in the Bahia Hondo in the northern part of the province de Pinar was to be founded.
