Austrian Korneuburg shipyards building tugs Pecs, Chernikov and Astrakhan for the Soviet Union according to a CIA report dated 26 February 1953

An item reported that the Austrian Korneuburg shipyards were repairing a former Romanian tug to be completed in 1953 and which was to be renamed Pecs. Fitted out with 2 funnels, 2 boilers and a 60hp engine. In autumn 1953 were at Korneuburg her two sister ships Chernikov and Astrakhan handed over to the Soviet Union and which left for Ismail.
