The organisation structure of the Albanian navy according to a CIA report dated 16 March 1949

An item reported that the Albanian navy was subordinate to the naval section of the high command of the armed forces and which was located at Tirana commanded by a colonel. To this colonel were 2-3 lower rank officers added and forming the complete naval staff. The sole naval base and command headquarters were situated at Durres although there were two subordinate headquarters located at Sarande and on Saseno Island. The command headquarters in Durres used the former building of the Italian Naval Command.
