Minotaur-class
An item reported that the funnels of the British armoured cruisers of the Defence- and Warrior-classes were to be raised with around 3 metre while the smoke prevented a good sight for the watchmen on the bridge. On board of the HMS Warrior lying under repair at Devonport was with the reconstruction started.(1)
Note
1.Warrior-class consisting of the Warrior, Achilles. Cochrane and Natal and the Minotaur-class armoured cruisers consisting of the Defence, Minotaur and Shannon. The funnels were in fact 4,6 metres raised.
