An item referred to the Army and Navy Journal reporting that the 2-4.800 ton Japanese cruisers built at Nagasaki, Japan and Kobe, Japan were to be fitted out with respectively Curtis turbines or Parsons turbines. Both ships were to be completed in spring 1912 with a minimum speed of 26 miles and 22.500 ihp horsepower.(1)
