Facilities at the Marti shipyard at Nikolayev, Soviet Union according to a CIA report dated 7 April 1951

An item reported that at the Marti shipyard at Nikolayev [nowadays Ukraine] around 24.000 men were working and activities increasing. There were two slipways with a length of around 400 metres existing and as facilities 8 fixed 3 ton cranes consisting of horizontal arms fixed to a steel table base, 1-30 ton movable crane fitted on girder tracks and totally 27.000kw could be supplied by an electric power central consisting of 2 turbo generators.
