Russian inland Baikal tug active on the Danube according to a CIA report dated 17 May 1948

An item reported that the one of the most important Russian tugs active on the Danube was the oil-fuelled Baikal of 250 tons displacement and a horsepower of 2x 1.200hp and active between Turnu Severin, Romania and Komarom, Czechoslovakia [nowadays Slovakia]. Described as a tanker.
