Siamese cruiser Makut visited the Dutch East Indies in 1907

An item reported that the Siamese cruiser Makut (1) visited Tandjong Priok, Dutch East Indies between 16-24 August 1907.(2)

Notes
1. The torpedo gunboat Makut Rajakumarn built by Whampoa Dock, Hong Kong in 1887 and which served until 1930. Also called a cruiser.
2. The Dutch newspaper De Sumatra Post dated 19 August 1906 published an item dated Weltevreden 17th reporting her arrival at Tandjong Priok. Another Dutch newspaper Bataviaasch nieuwsblad dated Friday 16th reported her arrival that morning describing her as measuring 700 tons, a crew numbering 6 officers and 126 men and an armament of 12 guns. Her commanding officer was named Absebahar.
