British submarine chaser with sails design of the 20th Century Cold War period

Since the last decennia of the 20th Century were shipping companies except for nuclear propulsion again interested in wind propulsion such as rotor ships but also again in wind propulsion. In the same years as the British 123 design was developed was also an anti submarine vessel designed partly driven by wind propulsion for which purpose the Green area was suitable. Between 80-90% through the year allowed sails a speed of 12 knots. A by wind driven ship is quiet. Sadly developed auxiliary machinery needed for the sonar too much noise. She was to be fitted out with at least one helicopter for anti submarine warfare tasks. The design never came further as the drawing board.
