Of the Balder-class consisting of the Balder, Freyr, Bulgia, Hadda and Hefring. First call sign SC 1629. Laid down at the Rijkswerf Willemsoord, Den Helder, Netherlands on 24 February 1954, launched and commissioned on 21 July 1954, decommissioned on 14 November 1986, stricken on 28 November 1986 and on 15 February 1987 handed over to the Zeekadetkorps, Gouda, Netherlands. Used for patrol tasks in the Dutch coastal waters, as training ship and for anti submarine-warfare. Armament consisted of 1-4cm machinegun, 1-2cm machinegun,1 single mousetrap, 2 depth charge racks, 2 depth charge launchers and 3 depth charge chutes. Displacement 169 tons and as dimensions 36,37 x 6,21 x 1,95-2.0 metres. The machinery consisted of 2-650hp Stork Werkspoor engines allowing a maximum speed of 15,8 knots.
