Former Brazilian whaling now Japanese property performed well according to the Dutch magazine Commercial Fisheries Review dated January 1959

An item reported that the in early 1958 by Japanese interests taken over Brazilian whaling company captured by 1 September 1948 104 whales and it was expected that at the end of the season the catch would be 200 whales. The plant received new equipment and possessed now an annual capacity of 9.000 tons.
