Japanese single screw diesel cargo ship Kuramasan Maru 1926-1944
Official number 32649 and call sign JUKB. Laid down by Mitsui Nusan, Tama, Japan with yard number 132 for account of the Mitsui Line, Tokyo, Japan on 20 December 1926, launched on 4 May 1927, completed on 16 June 1927, requisitioned by the Japanese Imperial Army on 26 September 1941 and converted into the troop transport Alloted Army No. 84, voyages towards French Indochina [nowadays Vietnam], Palau, Rabaul on New Britain [Papua New Guinea], Philippines, Moluccas, Dutch East Indies and torpedoed by the American submarine USS Barbero on 2 November 1944 in the Makassar Strait.
Oil fuelled 6 cylinder 204 hp diesel machinery with and fuel bunker capacity of 226 tons, a range of 14.000 miles/10 knots and speed of 10 knots. Speed 10 (normal cruising)-11,5 (maximum) knots.
