French destroyer Duguay Trouin (D 611) 1971-1999 (2020)

F 67-class type anti submarine warfare  frigate of the Tourville-class, consisting of the Tourville, Duguay-Trouin and De Grasse, preceded by the Aconit and succeeded by the Georges Laygues-class. Homeport Brest, France. Laid down by Lorient Arsenal on 25 February 1971, launched on 1 June 1973, commissioned on 17 September 1975, decommissioned on 13 July 1999 and became a harbour wave-breaker. Displacement 4.850-6.100 (full load) tons and as dimensions 152,75 x 15,80 x 6,60 metres or 501.1 x 51.8 x 21.7 feet. Horsepower 58.000 shp/43.000 kW supplied by 2 Rateau double reduction steam turbines and 4 multitubular boilers allowing with the 2 screws a speed of 32 knots and a range of 1.800 respectively 4.500 nautical miles with a speed of 30 respectively 18 knots. Crew numbered 299 men. Armament consisted of 1 Crotale EDIR anti aircraft missile launcher (loaded with 8 and 18 in magazine), 2-10cm turrets 1968 model 1986, 2-2cm canons, 4-12,7mm/0.50 machine guns, 6 Exocet MM38 anti-ship missiles,2-L5 torpedo launchers for which 10 torpedoes were carried and 2 Lynx WG13 helicopters.
