Cuban cruiser Cuba involved in collision according to the Dutch newspaper Bataviaasch nieuwsblad dated 10 May 1937

An item dated Lisbon, Portugal 9 May reported that the Cuban cruiser underway to the naval review during the British coronation celebrations collided with a tanker with a result a hole above the waterline probably preventing to continue her voyage.(1)

Note

1. Called a second class light cruiser, frigate, sloop and gunboat, launched by William Cramp&Sons Shipbuilding Company, Philadelphia, USA on 10 August 1911, delivered in May 1912, reconstructed 1936-1937 and again in 1956, discarded 1971 and afterwards sunk as a target. She visited in June 1937 Amsterdam, Netherlands.
