Of the Principe Amedieo-class ironclads, preceded by Affondatore and succeeded by Caio Duilio-class. Displacement 5.853 (normal)-6.419 (full load) tons and as dimensions 78.82 x 17.3 x 8 metres or 258.7 x 56.9 x 26.3 feet. Fitted out with 1-6.117 ihp steam engine and fire-tube boilers allowing a speed of 12.85 knots and with 10 knots speed a range of 1.780 nautical miles. Barque-rigged. Her crew numbered 548 men. Armament consisted of 6x1-25.4cm/10” guns and 1-27.9cm/11” gun. Armour consisted of 1-22.1cm/8.7” thick belt with the 3 casemates and conning tower protected by respectively 14cm/5.5” and 6.1cm/2.4”.
