Ltd., Liverpool, England. Renamed ss Esther Dollar in 1918 of Dollar Steamship Lines Inc. Ltd., San Francisco, USA, renamed ss Chief Skidegate in 1928 of Canadian American Navigation Co. Ltd and in 1930 Taihoku Maru and sunk by the American submarine USS Drum (SS-228) on 26 October 1944 north of Luzon, Philippines. Deadweight 11.549 tons, gross register tonnage 7.492 tons, net tonnage 4.839 tons and as dimensions 483.6 x 57.0 x 32.7 x 12 (light)-29 (loaded) feet. Range 10.000 nautical miles with a speed of 10 knots and a bunker capacity of 1.447 tons coal and 991 tons oil.
