Large number of whalers visited Lahaina, Hawaii according to the newspaper The Polynesian dated 29 March 1845

An item dated 29 March reported that in the harbour of Laihaina, Hawaii were lying around 60 whalers and daily went 300-400 crew members ashore and good order prevails.
