An item reported that the Brazilian cabinet ordered the British firm Armstrong to built a new large battleship to replace the battleship Rio de Janeiro with a displacement of 30.000 ton and a length of 189 metres. The waterline and the gun turrets were to be protected by 34,3cm armour. The armament was to consisted of 8-38cm guns, 14-15,2cm guns and 10-10,2cm guns.(1)
