German cruiser SMS Bussard left Tangier, Morocco according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 31st March 1899

An item reported that the Moroccan cabinet accepted the German demands to fully compensate the damage of Germans in Morocco during the uprising of 1896. The SMS Bussard left after this agreement Tangier.(1)

1. Laid down by Kaiserliche Werft, Danzig as Kreuzer IV Classe C in Augst 1888, launched on 23 January 1890, commissioned on 7 October 1890, decommissioned on 25 October 1912 and broken up in 1913. Unprotected cruiser of the Bussard-class consisting of the Bussard, Falke, Seeadler, Condor and Cormoran, preceded y the Schwalbe-class and succeeded by the Gefion.
