An item reported that the Polish Navy possessed before the outbreak of the Second World War on 1 September 1939 and still in service over the submarines Sep, Rys, Wilk and Zbik. The first one was built in the Netherlands in 1938 with a displacement of 1.092 (surfaced)-1.450 (submerged) tons, a speed of 19 (surfaced)-9 (submerged) knots, a crew numbering 56 men and an armament of 1-10,9cm gun, 2-4cm anti aircraft guns and 8-21” torpedo tubes. Her sister ship Orzel built by Kon. Mij. De Schelde, Vlissingen disappeared in 1940 during a patrol and is still not found back. The last 3 submarines were built between 1929-1930 with a displacement of 965 (surfaced)-1.250 (submerged) tons, a speed of 14 (surfaced)-9 (submerged) tons, a crew numbering 45 men and an armament of 1-10cm/3.9" gun, 6-21” torpedo tubes [in fact 6-55cm/22"] and 40 mines.
