The ports of the gun turrets were protected by 4” armor, sides, top and rear of light structural plating. Armament consisted of 2x2-40,64cm/16” breech loading guns. 10-15,24cm/.6” quick firing guns and 4-7,62cm/3” anti aircraft guns.
