American scout cruiser design dated 29 May 1915

Preliminary design 135 of Scientific&Computing Branch C.&R. Suggested by captain Hood. Never realized. Dimensions 780 (waterline) x 72.0 (waterline) x 19.6 feet. Block coefficient .511, longitudinal coefficient .568. Speed 32 knots with 37.700 ehp supplied by turbines and five boiler rooms. With a speed of 10 knots a range of 8.000 nautical miles. The ports of the gun turrets were protected by 4” armor, sides, top and rear of light structural plating. Armament consisted of 2x2-40,64cm/16” breech loading guns. 10-15,24cm/.6” quick firing guns and 4-7,62cm/3” anti aircraft guns.
