Germany sending cruiser to Greece according to the Dutch newspaper Bataviaasch nieuwsblad dated 6 April 1897

An item dated London, England 3 April reported that Germany sent just one cruiser to Creta, Greece.(1)

1. Between 18 April and 20 May 1897 Greece was in war with the Ottoman Empire dealing with the stauts of Crete which was an province of the Ottoman Empire.
