American single screw bulk oil tanker design T2 M.C. hulls 148-149 and 157-159 in 1946

Steel built, with raked stem and cruiser stern. Dimensions 520.0 (over all) x 68.0 (molded) x 37.0 (molded depth) x 29.11 5/8 (load draught molded) feet, deadweight 16,300 tons, gross tonnage 10,300 tons , net tonnage 6,086 tons and tank cargo capacity 138.523 barrels. The aft positioned turbine propulsion supplied 12,000 shp maximum horsepower allowing a speed of 16.5knots. Prewar domestic cost 2,460,000 US dollars, domestic war cost 3,197,897 US dollars, unadjusted statutory sales price 2,152,500 US dollars and floor price 1,598,949 US dollars.
