British light cruiser HMS Caroline to be paid off according to the Weekly Intelligence Summary No. 44 dated 12 November 1921

C-class Caroline sub-class light cruisers

An item reported that the British light cruiser HMS Caroline (1) on relief by HMS Colombo (2) was to return to Portsmouth, England and there to be paid off.

Notes

1. Part of C-class Caroline sub-class light cruisers, preceded by Arethusa-class, succeeded by Danae-class, laid down by Cammell Laird on 28 January 1914, launched on 29 September 1914, completed in December 1914, commissioned on 4 December 1914, for the last time decommissioned on 31 March 2011. Still existing as museum ship.

2. Part of C-class Carlisle sub-class light cruisers, preceded by Arethusa-class, succeeded by Danae-class, laid down by Fairfield Shipbuilding and Engineering Company on 8 December 1917, launched on 18 December 1918, commissioned on 18 June 1919, converted into an anti-aircraft cruiser between June 1942-March 1943 and sold to be broken up on 22 January 1948.
