An item reported that the in 1913 at Selby, England steel built British steam trawler Mary A. Hastie (SN.36) was bought from Robert Hastie&Sons, North-Shields, England by the Vereenigde Exploitatie Maatschappij (V.E.M.), IJmuiden, Netherlands. She arrived at IJmuiden on 25 July to be fitted out under the Dutch ships law.
