German Greenland commandeur Jan Vos returned home according to the Dutch newspaper Amsterdanse courant dated 22 July 1702

An item dated Amsterdam, Netherlands 21 July reported the arrival on the Elbe river of the German Greenland commandeur Jan Vos whaler Neptunis 11 whales 400 quardelen blubber. He left the ice 20 June and Greenland 23 June reporting that the 12 whalers of Hamburg caught totally 20 whales and 12 Dutch whalers totally 25-27 whales.
