Tug Dratsch used by German forces in 1944

A letter dated 3 July 1944 sent by the Schiffahrt G.m.b.H. to the Seetrachef that the tug Dratsch on 7 January 1944 was taken over at Nikolayev. When Odessa was left she was brought to Braila where she was berthed since ready for service. There was work for her on the Danube but perhaps the D.D.S.G. wanted her to use for towage between Braila and Sulina. She was apparently not suitable for sea service. Horsepower 550 hp, a speed of 12 nautical miles and of circa 180 gross register tonnage.
