The arrival of the Dutch brig Zr. Ms. Pegasus at Den Helder according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 1 August 1837

Den Helder, 29 July. That morning arrived the Dutch brig Zr. Ms. Pegasus captain lieutenant Boelen in the port. She was part of the Dutch training squadron.(1)

1. On stocks at the navy yard at Rotterdam, Netherlands 1827 by P. Glavimans Jz., launched 1830, dry docked at the navy yard at Hellevoetsluis, Netherlands 4 November -13 December 1836 and 9-12 September 1837 and again in 10 October-19 November 1840 and then condemned and fitted out as accommodation ship to replace the Zr.Ms. Kemphaan at Rotterdam, Netherlands, last mentioned 1851 and apparently broken up at the navy yard at Hellevoetsluis, dimensions 29,8 (load line) x 9,2 (inner hull) x 3,4 (fore)-4,5 (aft) x 4,5 (hold below maindeck) metres, 546 tons displacement and 18 guns (16-30pd carronades and 2-6pd guns).
