British sailing passenger ship Harbinger 1876-1910


Iron-built. Launched by Robert Steele&Co., Greenock, United Kingdom on the Cartsburn yard with yard number 97 for account of Anderson, Anderson&Co., London, England on 10 August 1876. On 21 July 1880 registered at Aberdeen, Scotland, since 28 April 1890 serving as cadetship fir Devitt and Moore, London, since 1897 used by Johan Enlund, Raumo, Finland in the Baltic trade became Dutch property in January 1910 and finally sold to A. Maguiette, Antwerp, Belgium and not much later scrapped at Hoboken, Belgium. Gross register tonnage 1.585 tons, net register tonnage 1.506 tons and as dimensions 253.5 x 37.6 x 22.4 (depth) feet.
