Augsburg, Germany, 1 July. The newspaper Allgemeine Zeitung published tidings from Turkey according to which at Constantinople 3 June news was made public that the Turkish fleet which left the Dardanelles was completely defeated and that the remaining ships despite most of these being heavily damaged returned to the Dardanelles.
