The Russian Baltic fleet according to the Dutch newspaper Het Vaderland: staat- en letterkundig nieuwsblad evening edition dated 26 February 1923

According to newspapers from Riga was the Russian Baltic fleet to consist that year of 2 dreadnoughts, 8 destroyers, 9 submarines, 10-15 torpedo boats and 20-30 mine hunters and guard ships. At the latest Russian fleet week was decided to an important increase of the fleet. Russia wanted a Baltic fleet strong enough to prevent that the other Baltic states could isolate and suppress Russia.
