Spanish frigates captured the Prussian frigate Koning Frederik according to the Dutch newspaper Opregte Groninger Courant dated 10 August 1753

Madrid, 19 July. According to letters from Cartagena dated 21 February cruised admiral Don Pedro de la Cerda continuously in the months November-January along the coasts of Porto Bello and sighted one day a 30-gun frigate called Koning Frederik [Dutch translation of the original name like Konig Friederich] showing the Prussian flag and which was not allowed to trade in this area. Don Pedro sent the frigates Vliegende Arend [Dutch translation of the original name which sounds something like Aguila Volante] and the Cazador which captured the frigate after a battle of 2 hours and brought her into Carthagena. She was loaded with Dutch stores and which were sold for profit of the Spanish crown while the frigate manned with Spanish sailors was added to the Spanish squadron.
