Colombian privateers and the Spanish navy in the Mediterranean according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 29 June 1827

Paris, June. Tidings from Cadiz reported that two Colombian privateers armed with in total 30 guns cruised for some time off Gibraltar observed by Spanish navy vessels with a total armament of 72 guns but without acting against them. Both privateers were allowed to depart to open sea on a western course and the merchants of Cadiz feared that within the next time to get problems.
