The Dutch and Turkish navies according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 15 May 1827

London, England 9 May. The Dutch ship of the line Waterloo, commanded by captain A. van Dalen left Sheerness and arrived 7 May at Deal.(1)

Frankfurt, Germany 10 May. The newspaper Oesterreisische Beobachter reported that a squadron of 15 warships left Constantinople before 10 April towards Gallipoli for gunpowder and victuals.

1. On stocks at the naval yard at Amsterdam September 1818, launched 1824, dimensions 54,16 (between perpendiculars) x 14,70 x 12,30 (depth) metres and draught fore 6,46m and aft 7,12m and displacement of 3.000 tons, pierced for 74 guns and a sail area of 2.237m2. Departed 12 January 1827 armed en flute (16-30pdrs, 6-30pdr carronades and 2-12pdrs). and with a crew of just 270 men with troops towards the Dutch East Indies, got problems off Helgoland (stranded at Borkum?) where she was between 25 January-15 February. According to the original ships log she arrived she 21 February at Sheerness, England and departed 5 May and reached Downs 7 May and arrived at Batavia 25 August 1827. Broken up in 1841.
