London, 3 April. The newspaper The Courier published an extract of a letter dated Rio Janeiro 3 February. Admiral Brown succeeded in passing the Brazilian squadron and entering Buenos Aires without being harmed. Between both squadrons had been 2 January a fight and was the Republic squadron defeated loosing 300 men and 2 ships.
