Spanish corvette la Descubierta captured a Colombian privateer and Algerian privateers active according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 7 August 1827

Madrid, 26 July. The war corvette la Descubierta captured 19 July near Cape Trafalgar and brought up at Cadiz the Colombian goelette which made so many prices included lately the French ship le Saimir off the Biscaya coast.

Paris, 2 August. Tidings from Marseille dated 25 July reported that de Dey of Algiers was preparing all the fortress.
