According to a news item dated Washington 23 January approved the naval commission of the Congress unanimous the Vinson-bill dealing with the building of 120 warships.(1)

1. Carl Vinson (19 November 1883-1 June 1981) belonged to the Democrat party and represented the state Georgia. The bill to which the newspaper referred is known as the Vinson-Trammell Act allowing the USA to replace aged warships according to the Washington and London Naval Treaties and to use the full allowed tonnage. Paul Monroe Trammell (9 April 1876-8 may 1936) also belonging to the Democratic Party represented Florida.
