British ship 1st rate HMS Victory 1759-

Building ordered on 14 July 1758, laid down by Chatham Dockyard on 23 July 1759, launched on 7 May 1765, commissioned in 1778, flagship of Nelson during the battle of Trafalgar on 21 October 1805.

Displacement 3.500 tons, builder measurement 2.142 tons and as dimensions 57 (gundeck)-69,34 (over all) x 15,80 x 8,76 (draught) x 6,55 (depth) metres or 186-227.6 x 51.10 x 28.9 x 21.6 feet. Sail area 5.440 square metres allowing a speed of 11 knots. Crew numbered around 850 men. Armament during the Battle of Trafalgar was 30-32 pd (gundeck), 29-24pd guns (middle gun deck), 30-12pd guns (upper gundeck), 12-12pd guns (quarterdeck) and forecastle 2-12 pd guns and 2-68pad carronades.
