The photo was published in the Dutch magazine De Prins dated 5 January 1935 and showed her during the building. She was to transport 70 passengers.
Opponent of the Sikorsy S-42 and Martin M-130 Flying Clippers in her time. Able to transport passengers and cargo and had for this purpose accommodation for maximum 72 passengers. There were 12 private bathrooms each connected to 12-double bedded cabins and 20 seats for 2nd class passengers. Further more there was a bar and a kitchen. Her crew numbered 7 men. Fitted out with 6 engines with four tractor and 2 pusher propellers and a horsepower of 5.100 hop achieved she in 1939 on one trans-Atlantic flight a average speed of 127 mile over the 3.651 miles distance. She was designed to perform the flight in 20 hours. Gross weight 37 tons, wingspan 162 feet, height double-decked hull 30 feet and a length of 104 feet.
