New dry docks for American naval base at Pearl Harbour according to the Dutch newspaper Het Vaderland evening edition dated 22 December 1939

The office for yards and docks signed a contract with two companies to deliver two dry docks for the naval base at Pearl Harbour, Hawaii. One of the docks had a length of 305 metres and would be able to dock the largest warships of the USS navy included the designed ships of 35,000 and 45,000 tons. The other dock had a length of 152metres to dock the smaller ships. Total costs were 6,259,000 dollars. The construction was to start within sort time and was during 3 years.
