Portuguese and Venetian warships and merchant ships off Lisbon according to the Dutch newspaper Opregte Groninger courant dated 4 December 1767

In a tiding dated Lisbon 6 November was the recent arrival on the Taag of two merchant ships with a cargo of tobacco and sugar coming from Bahia reported and that of two Venetian warships transporting the Venetian admiral don Angelo Emo. Further more was the at Rio de Janeiro newly build warship (1) arrived for which the merchants were impatient waiting. It transported for 12.000.000 in cash and diamonds for account of the merchants.
