Russian dredger Dwina launched at Kinderdijk according to the Dutch newspaper Het Vaderland daily edition dated 19 February 1939

From one of the slipways of the yard of J.&K. Smit’s Scheepswerven N.V. at Kinderdijk was on 18 February with success the first of the two bucket dredgers built for Russian account launched. Her main dimensions were 77 x 13,5 x 3,80 metres and a hold of 5,70 metres. The dredger could dredged to a depth of 18 metres. The bucket capacity was 1.00 litres and the capacity each hour 750M3. She was to be fitted out with vertical expansion engines of each 900 hp and one of 600 hp and not was independent form other ships to manoeuvre to a new position.
